Newcastle Castle is a truly unique and beautiful wedding venue located in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Dating back to the 11th century, this remarkable Norman Fortress will be your very own castle for the day, with characterful and historic architecture throughout providing an idyllic setting for your fairytale wedding.

We have two fully licensed rooms for ceremonies within the original gatehouse, The Harbottle Suite and The Museum Room in The Black Gate. We also have a beautiful medieval Chapel, and the Great Hall in the Castle Keep itself where you could have a more personal, rustic ceremony or celebration with loved ones.

When you hire the Castle, you will have access to the whole building, so you and your guests will be able to explore and enjoy all four floors of the Castle Keep, including the roof, which has stunning views across Newcastle, Gateshead and the Tyne valley. Newcastle Castle is a blank canvas venue, which gives you the flexibility to bring in any external suppliers you choose to have your day, your way (DJ, bands, caterers, pop-up bar etc.) and there are no hidden charges.
