About Charlton Park

A private Country Mansion Wedding Venue for Civil Marriages and Wedding Receptions, set in parkland just outside Canterbury. Civil Ceremonies are held in the elegant first-floor Regency Ballroom, and Celebrant Ceremonies amongst the woods and lawns.

Charlton Park is a secluded country house just off the A2, next to Bishopsbourne village with it's beautiful historic church, (only 10 minutes drive from Canterbury). The stunning white Regency Facade and elegant first floor Ballroom create the perfect setting for Civil Marriages, Celebrant Weddings and Wedding Receptions, and can accommodate 100 guests in the Ballroom for a stand-up Reception, or 80 for served meals. A Bechstein grand piano features in the Ballroom, and is often used during ceremonies and wedding feasts for that extra special detail.
Bespoke Marquees are erected beside the house or on the croquet or lower lawns to accommodate greater numbers (350 max). Unique Celebrant ceremonies are held on the lawns and the woods, tailored to the couple’s wishes.
During the winter, guests enjoy the open log fires in the Hall and Drawing Room, and marriages, wedding feasts and evening parties (80 guests max.) can all be held in the house. A special "Your Sparkly Wedding" discounted package is available in winter months; please contact us for details.
The Charlton Park team is dedicated to creating perfect, bespoke Wedding Days and to pleasing brides with careful attention to their wishes. There is ample hard standing car parking.
