About Bel & The Dragon Reading
Bel & The Dragon Reading, a former biscuit factory, is located on the waterfront of the Kennet & Avon Canal. The building has been lovingly refurbished to create a unique venue and a truly magical setting for your wedding.
In what has to be one of the most special places to get married in Reading, our waterside restaurant and boat, make for a truly magical setting for your wedding.
Share your vows in the company of your closest friends and family, either aboard The Majestic Bel or on dry land in the main restaurant. Each space offers breath-taking views and the perfect romantic setting for your ceremony.
On a warm summer’s day, the doors of the restaurant and bar can be opened up and the roof of The Majestic Bel retracted, in order to reveal the scenic surroundings.
Whatever your dream setting, we will tailor our surroundings to suit your every need. Whether that means allowing the space to be bathed in natural sunlight, or decorating with twinkling candles and rose petals or fairy lights – the choice is yours. Table linen, glassware, cutlery, crockery is provided.
Our chefs have created a series of menus full of twists on an array of classic British dishes, with a focus on local, sustainable and, above all, quality ingredients
