Your wedding is a day you will never forget, but what can you do to make it a day your guests will never forget? We've been chatting to chillisauce.com, expert stag and hen party organisers, to find out nine things they think you can offer your guests to ensure their day is as great as yours. Whether you're having an intimate wedding or wanting an outdoor marquee wedding, these tips will ensure your guests enjoy your day as much as you do!
A little takeaway
Wedding favours are the norm – they’re traditionally along the lines of sugared almonds or a small bottle of alcohol, but why not make something that’s personalised or ties in with your wedding theme? Something that they can take away and use at home or put on display as a reminder of your big day is always highly appreciated.
Alcohol
Most people enjoy a few alcoholic beverages at a wedding - no great story started with a salad! A few drinks will liven up your guests and make it an unforgettable night, whether that’s welcoming drinks, a few bottles on the table, or a tab or open bar – it all depends on your budget.
Live music
A live band could be the perfect entertainment for your guests. You might have trouble getting your hands on Ed Sheeran, but you can get a good tribute band, whether that's in a rock, pop or roaring twenties style, or even just a solo guitarist who plays the tunes you love for a bargain price.
If you fancy a more sophisticated, elegant type of entertainment, a harpist is always a good place to start. You can’t go wrong with the relaxing tones of a harp while your guests tuck into their meals and absorb the ambience. And how many people can say they’ve seen one played in real life? A DJ
If you don’t want to fork out for a band, a DJ is not a bad alternative – you can even ask your guests to suggest a song or two that they’d like played at the wedding, encouraging them to get up and dance and feel more included in your big day.
Caricaturist
Satirical doodles of your guests will certainly be a talking point and would make a good souvenir to remember the day by.
A children’s entertainer
A clown? A comedian? Adults dressed up as Spongebob and Patrick? A children’s entertainer will do exactly what it says on the tin – provide entertainment for the kids. This could be ideal for guests who want a break from parenting duty.
If you want something for the adults, magicians are always a great focal point at big events, and they’re perfect for distracting and entertaining your guests whilst you’re off getting your photos done.Â

Flip flops
It can be a long day standing around in heels, for the bride and for the guests. Having a basket of flip flops on hand in a variety of sizes will save many women from the pains that heels can cause, allowing them to dance the night away and not have to rush home to put their feet up.
Transport
Perhaps you could arrange with a local taxi firm or minibus company to pick up your guests towards the end of the night and take them back to their accommodation. If they’ve spent the night taking advantage of the free bar they may not remember this kind gesture, but arranging their transport is definitely something they’ll certainly be thankful for it.
