Find your local MP and their contact details by putting your postcode in this tool.
Personalise it as much as you like, but please ensure the key message remains. If you are getting married locally, include the name of the venue and any local suppliers so that your MP can see how relevant it is in your area.
Make sure you include your name and postcode - ideally your full address - as you MP will only read emails from those living in their constituency.

I’m writing to you, as a constituent, to ask you to support us and many other local couples in our position.
My partner and I would like to continue with our wedding plans, and support an industry worth £14.7 billion per year when they need us most. However, we have been given no indication from the government, other than the Prime Minister’s hope of “a different world” by summer, as to whether weddings might be able to go ahead this summer and if so, in what form.
Without any clarity, we and many other couples will postpone our weddings unnecessarily. Unlike many other events, weddings take months to plan and lives and families are put on hold while we wait.
Please support the need for a roadmap for the gradual, safe reopening of weddings in line with government plans to publish its exit strategy in late February.
We have seen first hand the financial pressure that has been put on local wedding businesses that have been closed in all but name for almost a year. I hope that you will also support the need for a sector specific support as well as the extension and adaptation of existing support programmes to ensure that the businesses we all rely on to deliver weddings safely and professionally will be there for us when our wedding can finally take place.
On 12th October the Prime Minister said: “I have real sympathy for those in the wedding industry who have been affected. It is a great industry, and times are very tough for them.”
